우리 첫째아이가 남자아이임에도 불구하고 이 시리즈를 정말이지 너무 좋아하고 재밌게 읽었습니다. 그때 다 읽고 영화까지 찾아보고 감동까지 받은 책이기도합니다.
이 책의 주인공인 Judy Moody는 변덕쟁이 말괄량이 소녀입니다.
글씨와 그림이 책을 읽기 쉽게 해주는 책이기도합니다.
두껍지만 쉽게 책이 읽히는 책.
내용은 너무 너무 좋은. 아이들이 남자 여자아이할것없이 너무 좋아하는 책입니다.

원서를 읽는다는것은 다른 나라의 문화를 접하는것입니다.
다른 문화를 접할때 번역본을 접할수도 있지만 번역본은 이미 번역이 될때 우리 문화를 글자속에 넣어서 번역이 약간 들어갑니다. 그래서 원서 그대로 읽는것이 정말 중요합니다.
그래야 외국 그대로의 문화를 그대로 접해볼수있기때문입니다.
그대로 접하고 그대로 받아들인다는것은 정말 다릅니다.
그렇기에 원서읽기에 힘을 쏟아야하는것이겠지요.
왜 원서를 읽어야하냐고 묻는다면 우리아이들세대는 지금보다도 더 오픈된 글로벌 문화일거라고 생각합니다.
아무리 파파고가 좋아도 사람이 문화와 함께 생각을 접한다는것은 다르기 때문입니다. 
그래서 꼭 원서읽기가 되는것은 너무 중요하고 좋다고 생각합니다.
